Commiserations to Archie Gemmil's Under-19 Scotland squad, who lost the European Youth Championship Final to Spain at the weekend. However, they made Spain fight for their win, and the fact that they got to the final is a real achievement. This was a tough competition, against countries which have done much better than Scotland in recent years in bringing through talented young players.
Scotland got hammered by Spain 4-0 in their opening game, but recovered impressively, with a draw with Portugal followed by wins against Turkey and the Czech republic.
